A. Social Function
     The social function from Present Perfect Tense is :
    To tell event that have happened in the past without mentioning specific time and they are related to the present time.
B. Sentence Structure

  • Positive Sentence
S + Has / Have + Verb 3 + Object + Adverb


          Example : They have lived here for seven years
                          They : Subject
                          Have : Have
                          Lived : Verb 3
                          Seven Years : Adverb Of Time


  • Negativce Sentence
          There are two formulas for negative sentence
S + Has / Have + Not + Verb 3 + Object + Adverb

S + Has / Have + Never + Verb 3 + Object + Adverb
          Example : I have never eaten Rice
                         I : Subject
                         Have : Have
                         Never : Never
                         Eaten : Verb 3
                         Rice : Object
                     
                         I have not eaten since yesterday
                         I : Subject
                         Not : Not
                         Eaten : Verb 3
                         Yesterday : Adverb Of Time


  • Yes Or No Question
Have + Subject + Verb 3 + Object + Adverb + ?
          Example : Have you taken your medicine ?
                          Have : Have 
                          You : Subject
                          Taken : Verb 3
                          Medicine : Object

                          Have you eaten rice ?
                          Have : Have
                          You : Subject
                          Eaten : Verb 3
                          Rice : Object


  • Wh/H Question
Wh/H + Have / Has + Subject + Verb 3 + Object + Adverb + ?
          Example : What have you done ?
                          What : Wh / H 
                          Have : Have
                          You : Subject
                          Done : Verb 3

                          What have you taken ? 
                          What : Wh / H
                          Have : Have
                          You : Subject
                          Taken :Verb 3
